Ketamine blocks a receptor and stops transmission of pain signal to the brain. A series of low-dose infusions can alter or eliminate chronic pain. Ketamine can be used to treat chronic regional pain syndrome, reflex sympathetic dystrophy, trigeminal neuralgia, phantom limb pain, Lyme disease complications, and migraines. Success rates are high with around 80% of patients experiencing relief of pain symptoms.
The treatment schedule for chronic discomfort is 5-6 infusions closely together (preferably on 5 days in a row). Each treatment will last 4 -6 hours depending on recovery time. Booster treatments may be needed in weeks to months after initial treatment. You are allowed to bring headphones/music, eye masks or anything needed to feel comfortable. You will be monitored throughout the infusion by certified professionals. We ask that you not eat/drink/chew gum/candy 8 hours before your infusion.
